MEP Awards 2007
In 2005 the Magazine decided to launch these awards in order to recognise the hard work of MEPs. Too often the work of MEPs goes unnoticed and unrecognised. We hope that by recognising the achievements of a few that this will translate to a wider appreciation of the contribution MEPs make.
Nominations for each of the categories have been taken from NGOs and not-for-profit organizations working in sector-specific areas. These organisations were asked to nominate those who they felt had done exceptionally good work in their policy area. We all know that the areas of work which MEPs are involved with are much wider than these topic areas. However, in highlighting these areas we hope that a few can be rewarded for their extra special contribution.
These are your awards. In each category, a shortlist of three MEPs has been drawn up. Please play your part in voting for who you would like to see receive these merits.
I look forward to seeing you on 9 October when the winners will be announced.
